With a unique shape and distinct nutritional value, processing pomegranates is a special task. In order to preserve both, Lugo developed the WAVE model. WAVE is equipped with a select carrier that handles the fruit throughout the entire process – from loading to washing, drying, and sorting – without compromising the fruit and its crown. This unique carrier allows the washing, disinfecting, and drying of the fruit’s crown to prevent decay and to extend its shelf-life, without damaging the shape.

WAVE ‘s algorithm scans the fruit and sorts it according to specific parameters of color, weight, size, and external quality. The result is a whole, clean, and perfect pomegranate, safely delivered to the consumer.

The machine can process up to 12.5 tons of fruit per hour, with the utmost gentleness.
